Assigning a collar to an animal

Fitting a collar is not enough: you must indicate in the app which collar is fitted on which animal. Without this assignment, no data is recorded for the animal and no alert is generated for it.

To assign a collar to an animal:

1. Open the Animals tab.
2. Select the animal wearing the collar.
3. Choose Assign a sensor from the menu.
4. Select the collar number from the list.
5. Confirm.

The assignment is immediate. The first data arrives as soon as the collar next communicates with the base station. The procedure is shown in the video Assigning a sensor to an animal.

Finding the collar worn by an animal:

The Equipment tab offers a Fitted, not assigned filter, which lists collars that are fitted but not yet assigned.

From your phone, the Bluetooth search lets you physically locate a collar, and therefore identify the animal wearing it.
