Adjusting the sensitivity of the Heat service

Updated

Sensitivity determines the level from which a heat triggers an alert. It is set by animal category, only from the computer version of the app.

Adjusting the sensitivity:

To adjust the sensitivity of the Heat service:

  1. On a computer, open Settings, then Calculations.
  2. For each animal category, adjust the sensitivity with the slider.
Setting the heat calculations by category

Use the computer version of the app.

The effect of the setting:

An alert is sent when the heat index exceeds the threshold corresponding to your setting. It remains active for 30 hours. If it turns out to be false, invalidate it from the dashboard or from your notifications.

Sensitivity Effect
Higher Detects more heats, but increases the number of false alerts
Medium (default) The best compromise on most farms
Lower Fewer false alerts, but more heats go undetected

Heats poorly detected?
First check how your groups are made up before changing the sensitivity: see Understanding animal groups and subgroups.
