Watching and sharing

Watching and replaying my recordings

Updated

You can watch your Mozaë cameras live, or go back over previous days, from the HIK Connect app on your phone or from a computer. Recordings are stored in the camera itself, on a memory card, for around ten days on average.

This article contains the following sections:

  • Watching live
  • Replaying recordings
  • How recording works
  • How long footage is kept

Watching live:

Open the HIK Connect app and select the camera. If you have several cameras, group them in a custom view to see them all at a glance.

Replaying recordings:

Playback takes place in the same app, on a phone or a computer. You can:

  • move through the footage at different speeds;
  • filter by date;
  • jump directly to the moments when something happened.

How recording works:

Point How it works
Footage location In the camera, on a memory card. Footage is not stored on the Internet.
Trigger Only when the camera detects movement, never continuously.
Quality Recordings are slightly less detailed than the live view, so that they last longer on the card. The live view remains in full quality.
Card full The oldest footage is automatically replaced by new footage.

How long footage is kept:

On average, you can go back around ten days. This period varies from one camera to another: a camera filming a busy area fills its card faster than a camera placed in a quiet corner.

To keep a sequence, save it to your phone without delay. Once it has been replaced by more recent footage, it can no longer be retrieved.

A person with whom you share a camera cannot replay the recordings unless you grant them the Playback option when sharing.
