Finding an animal or a collar in the building

The Bluetooth search helps you find an animal wearing a collar, or a collar that has fallen in the barn. It works from the app on your phone and tells you whether you are getting closer or moving away.

Searching for an animal:

To search for an animal:

1. On your phone, open the list of animals.
2. Tap the animal concerned.
3. In the menu, choose Animal search.

The app searches for the collar around you, establishes the connection, then continuously indicates whether you are getting closer to it. Move around following these indications.

Searching for a collar on its own:

You can also search for a collar that is not assigned to any animal, from the Equipment tab. This is useful for finding a collar that has fallen in the bedding.

What affects accuracy:

The speed and accuracy of the search depend on three factors:

• the building construction: metal sheeting and tubular structures interfere with the signal;
• the environment around the collar, in particular the presence of Wi-Fi;
• the quality of your phone's Bluetooth: a recent device locates faster.
