The Equipment tab: your collars, your base station and your ambient sensors
Sur cette page
The Equipment tab lists all your equipment. It has two sections: Animals for your collars, and Farms for your base station and your ambient sensors. This is where you can spot a collar that is no longer communicating or a version that needs updating.
Your collars:
You can sort your collars to display those that are available (not fitted) and those that are already assigned to an animal. Three filters deserve your attention.
Fitted, not assigned:
The collar detects movement: it is therefore fitted on an animal, but you have not indicated which one.
To identify the animal wearing the collar:
- From your phone, tap the collar.
- Tap Sensor search and physically locate the collar.
- Assign the collar to the animal wearing it.
Communication overdue:
This filter groups together collars that have not sent anything for more than 3 hours in calving mode or more than 24 hours in heat mode. There are three possible causes.
| Cause | What to do |
|---|---|
| The animal is out of range | The collar will send its data when it returns near the base station: it stores up to 10 days of measurements. However, avoid this situation, as it degrades the probability calculations. |
| The collar is stuck | The animal is near the base station but nothing is coming through. Place a magnet on the orange side, at the spot marked with the magnet symbol, and hold it for 8 seconds. |
| The collar is switched off | A dash appears in the Last communication and Version columns. See the article Switching on a collar. |
Version not up to date:
Collars receive regular updates. This filter lets you check at a glance that all your equipment is up to date.
Your base station:
The Status column shows the connection status of your base station, but not in real time: if you have just connected it, allow some time before it appears as connected.
To force a connection check:
- Tap the three dots to the right of the base station.
- Tap Connection status.
The same menu lets you rename the base station.
Your ambient sensors:
In Farms, each ambient sensor displays its latest temperature and humidity index and the corresponding stress level. A new measurement arrives every 30 minutes. The three dots let you rename the sensor or open its curve.
