Some collars are not updating
Sur cette page
If a few collars remain on an old version while the others have been updated, it is usually enough to wait, or to restart a manual update on a collar from the batch concerned.
This article contains the following sections:
- The update is still spreading
- The batch is isolated
- The collar is up to date, but the app does not show it
- The spreading period has ended
- If the problem persists
The update is still spreading:
If the progress bar is still displayed in the app, the update is still spreading from collar to collar. Let it run.
The batch is isolated:
A batch that never comes into contact with the others does not receive the update. There are two solutions:
- update at least one collar from this batch manually;
- or bring a collar from the batch close to a collar that is already up to date, within 10 days of its update.
The collar is up to date, but the app does not show it:
This is the most confusing case, and it is normal. The update spreads via Bluetooth, independently of the Mozaë base station. For the new version to be displayed in the app, the collar must have communicated at least once with the base station.
A practical example
A batch at pasture more than a kilometre from the base station may well have received the update. As long as no exchange has taken place with the base station, the app does not know about it.
The spreading period has ended:
After 10 days, the collar no longer receives the update on its own. There are two solutions:
- restart a manual update on this collar, standing between 1 and 5 metres away;
- or manually update a neighbouring collar from the same batch, to restart a local spread.
