Understanding your camera's motion detection

Updated

Your Mozaë camera detects movement to trigger a recording, so you can find a calving or an incident later. However, it does not send you any notification on your phone when it detects movement.

What motion detection does:

As soon as something happens in front of the lens, the camera records the scene. The recording includes the 5 seconds before and the 5 seconds after the movement, so that you do not miss the start of the action.

Why the camera does not send notifications:

Mozaë cameras are positioned to show you your animals, not to monitor access to your building. On a farm, a bird, a curtain or a change in light is enough to trigger a detection: alerts for every movement would be so frequent that they would end up being ignored.

If you need to protect your building against intrusions, a dedicated security solution will be more suitable, in addition to your Mozaë cameras. Discuss it with our team.
