What is Mozaë Vigivel?

Updated

Mozaë Vigivel monitors your calvings. A sensor attached under the animal's tail tracks its movements and temperature, works out a calving probability and alerts you by text message or phone call about 3 hours before calving.

How it works:

The sensor continuously measures the tail movements and the temperature of the animal. From these two pieces of information, it calculates a figure between 0 and 100 every quarter of an hour: the higher it is, the closer calving is.

The sensors send their measurements by radio waves to the Mozaë base, which transmits them to the app over the Internet.

You choose the figure from which you are alerted. As soon as it is reached, the sensor sends the alert immediately, without waiting for the hourly sending of measurements: you receive a text message, a call, or both, directly on your phone. The calving detection rate is around 98%.

Kit contents:

  • 4 Mozaë Vigivel sensors;
  • 1 carrying case with the instruction visual;
  • 1 magnet, used to switch the sensors on and off.

A Mozaë base connected to the Internet is also required.

Operating conditions:

Condition Value
Operating temperature From −15 °C to +50 °C
Storage temperature From −40 °C to +85 °C
Humidity Below 80%, non-condensing
Range between sensor and base About 1 km in open field, much less with buildings or terrain in between

Intended use
Mozaë Vigivel is designed for detecting calvings in cattle. Any other use, as well as any modification of the device, falls outside the intended scope and presents risks. iOtee cannot accept responsibility for it.
