Setting up alert reception, user by user

Updated

Each person who has access to your account chooses which alerts they want to receive, and at what times. This lets you organise on-call duty without everyone being woken up at night.

Reception channels:

Alerts are sent by notification in the app. Only calving alerts can also be sent by text message, if you choose: the phone number must then be entered in the Users tab.

The three possible settings:

Each type of alert is set separately, with one of the following three values.

Setting Effect
Inactive The alert is still generated in the app, but you are not notified.
Always You are notified 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Daytime only You define a time slot. Alerts triggered outside it are kept and reach you as soon as the time slot begins again.
Setting a reception time slot

Alerts are not lost
With a time slot starting at 6:30 am, an alert triggered at midnight is sent to you at 6:30 am. It arrives late, but it does arrive.

A setting specific to each user:

These settings are specific to each user: an employee does not usually need to be woken up for a calving, but a partner on call does.

Set up each person separately rather than leaving everything on Always: this prevents alerts from ending up being ignored.
