About Mozaë Monitoring

How does Mozaë Monitoring work?

Updated

Mozaë Monitoring lets you monitor your animals remotely. The system is based on three elements that work together: the collars measure, the Mozaë base collects and transmits, and the app displays.

This article contains the following sections:

  • The collar
  • The Mozaë base
  • The app
  • Starting to monitor your animals

The collar:

Worn by the animal, the collar continuously tracks its activity and behaviour. These measurements help you detect heats, anticipate calvings and monitor the health of the herd.

The collar sends its measurements to the base by radio waves.

The Mozaë base:

The base links the collars and the app. It receives the measurements from the collars by radio waves, then transmits them over the Internet.

Two permanent conditions
The base must remain plugged in and connected to the Internet. Its location matters just as much: if it is poorly positioned, it no longer picks up the collars, even if everything else is working.

The app:

Available on phone and computer, the app lets you:

  • view the measurements;
  • receive heat, calving or health alerts, depending on the services subscribed to;
  • monitor each animal individually or by group.

Starting to monitor your animals:

All your animals are registered in your account. You only fit a collar to the ones you want to monitor.

To start monitoring an animal:

  1. Fit a collar on the animal.
  2. Indicate in the app which collar is fitted on which animal.

Monitoring then starts automatically.
