Cleaning and maintaining Mozaë Vigivel sensors

A Vigivel sensor can be reused from one animal to another. After calving, remove it, rinse it under lukewarm water, dry it and store it. You then simply need to assign it to a new animal in the app.

Removing the sensor:

Carefully remove the adhesive elastic tape that holds the sensor on the tail. The sensor can be fitted on another animal straight away: simply assign the new animal to it in the app.

Cleaning the sensor:

The sensor is waterproof.

To clean the sensor:

1. Rinse it under lukewarm water and rub its surface.
2. Dry it with a clean cloth.
3. Store it in its box.

No harsh products
Abrasive or strong cleaning products damage the components inside the housing.

Storing the sensor:

Keep the box in a dry, clean place, at room temperature and protected from humidity.

Save battery power
During the calving season, do not switch the sensor off between two animals: store it in its box, where it goes into standby on its own and uses almost no power. Switch it off at the end of the season. Waking up is what uses battery power: do not store a sensor in standby in a place where it would be shaken, such as a car or a tractor.
